SUMMARY:PUPPY LOVE Benefit Screening
DESCRIPTION:PUPPY LOVE is a grass-roots documentary that was partially shot in Evanston and tells a personal story with a universal message.  “My puppy and his littermates suddenly became paralyzed and the vets told us to put them down\,” explains writer-director Gail Gilbert.  The documentary follows a literal “life and death” struggle as everything from Chinese herbs to chicken soup is used to nurse the pups back to health.  \n“PUPPY LOVE is more than a movie about dogs — it’s a story about the magical canine/human bond and the power of the human spirit to conquer things that seem unconquerable.“ said Gilbert.   \nWatch the trailer:  https://puppylovefilm.com/ \nPUPPY LOVE will screen at the Evanston Animal Shelter Community Room with Director Gail Gilbert and Canine Star SCOUT available for questions and pets.
